Boonton Fire Department

I have been an active member of the Boonton Fire Department for 19 years. Over the years I have been an Officer, County Liaison, Grant Writer, Committee chairs, deeply involved in town planning and countless hands on interactions with the community. Well respected as a knowledgeable and capable fireman throughout our County. Perhaps my proudest accomplishment is to have also passed on the firefighting legacy to my sons, Ryan serving in Boonton Fire Department and Brendan the Mountain Lakes Fire Department.

Boy Scouts of America

Involved in Scouting for 19 years, I have held many positions in both the local organization and council. A participant from Cub Scouting though the Boy Scouts, I have been a leader on multiple Philmont trips, whitewater, backpacking and Norther Tier trips.

Through Scouting my family has done many “good turns” as active participants in our Community.

11th Hour Rescue Foster

Our family started by adopting 2 rescues from 11th Hour. As we reflected on this great organization we wanted to help more. In the summer of 2018 we began fostering dogs that were considered hard cases. We have fostered, marketed and got adopted various dogs. As we began our fostering journey we realized that town ordinance didn’t really cater well to fosters and put up barriers to new fosters. We are working with the town to change the ordinance and encourage more people to foster.
